I FINALLY got this dang blogger to work! It wouldn't upload photos for the longest time. I guess I got lucky today!
I have so much to share so I hope you came ready to read and look at some adorable photos!
This year Christmas was so much fun. I have to say, I thought for sure Jake would be tearing open those gifts like no other but I was WRONG! The kid didn't know what was going on other than the fact that he was getting some AWESOME toys. He was oblivious to the idea that Santa slaved over wrapping those presents. Ha! This year, we had Christmas in our own little home. It was so nice to hang out and do our own thing. I think we actually stopped in the middle of unwrapping gifts and took a nap. Amazing, right?!
This is an ornament Jake's daycare made for us. It has his little handprint. I love it and can't wait to put it up next year! That's what Christmas is all about, right? Memories and traditions, watching your kids grow and progress each year.
BTW.. I feel like referencing Jake's "daycare" is so impersonal. Jake goes to an in-home daycare with six other kiddos. He is taken care of by one of the sweetest ladies I know, Darelen. Her and her family have become extended family for us and little Jake. She has been a HUGE blessing to us and I literally adore her. So "daycare" is a bit of an understatement... Maybe we'll start calling "daycare" Auntie Darlene's. Ha ha!!!
One of the fun traditions we started this year was going to breakfast Christmas Eve morning with my brother-in-law Kirk and his family. We had so much fun. Favorite memories of this year's Christmas Eve Breakfast: Dave's dad arguing about a tip, Dave's dad feeding Jake water from a spoon and my adorable nieces and nephew drinking licking from their hot chocolate. Great times!
A few weeks ago I took this awesome photo. I posted it on Facebook and said: I'm OBSESSED with this photo! That's literally an understatement. These two guys are my life. All my love and blessings are wrapped up tight in this one photo.
Here are the photos of Dave's parent's mission home-coming. This was the first time they met Jake and Chad ( my sweet little nephew). It was awesome to see them! I think the photos speak for themselves. It was a great Davenport family memory. I am so proud of my in-law's. They're such wonderful people who have so many great talents. I love having them back too. Not only are they WONDERFUL babysitters, but I missed thier company. It's fun to see them and they spoil each of us. We love them so much!
| Jake is looking in the mirror... go figure! Ha! |
